Video Description
n this video, the ping-pong ball’s floating height can be adjusted based on the position of a cylinder. An S2 is controlling the cylinder position with a SICK feedback sensor. Attached to the top of the cylinder is a nozzle with flow controlled by a D1 driver and LS-V25s valve closing the loop on air pressure in a vessel.
First, the flow rate is operating inversely, this allows the ball to float in the air. Then, the flow rate is constructively increasing with cylinder movement. The flow is then held constant allowing the ball to move with the cylinder. Finally, both flow and position are held constant allowing the ping-pong ball to float in mid-air.
This demonstrates position control combined with flow control.
