Accurate Pneumatic Force Control

In this demonstration we are utilizing an LS-V15s high-speed proportional pneumatic valve and a C1 closed-loop controller/drive electronics to highlight the ability to conduct fast and highly accurate pneumatic force control. This configuration is able to follow any profile provided by a PLC, motion controller, or digital to analog converter (DAC). As shown, the system is able to seamlessly transition between different force profiles.

A compression load cell is mounted below the 250 lbf spring in this example. Enfield’s C1 and LS-V15s are making the system (green line load cell feedback) match the command (yellow line rapid square, sine, and triangle waves).
