Video Description
The driving simulator shown converts in-game car motion to real life experience. Six analog signals are transcribed from the car’s motion and simplified into a command signal for each cylinder, performing a ballet of movements, six degrees of freedom (heave, sway, surge, pitch, yaw, and roll). The Enfield S2 positioning system then utilizes these analog signals (command), reads the linear positioning (feedback), and re-produces the car’s in-game motion via cylinder position control. All of this combined creates a real-life g-force experience, the closest feeling to driving without setting foot in a race car.
