Rapid Pneumatic Deceleration – Look, No Dampers

This video shows pneumatic “free-fall” of speeds of 32″/sec then a rapid pneumatic deceleration into a controlled stop without hitting the cylinder end. The closed loop algorithms within the S2 positioning system control the movement of the beer glass to move up and down without splashing, clanking or losing any beer.

A key takeaway is the removal of dampers, bumpers, air cushions and shock absorbers. With this capability, machine vibration and downtime is minimized while the life of cylinders is dramatically improved.
