![Proportional Valve Drivers]()
To remove the effects of temperature and power supply variations from valve performance, it is important to use a closed-loop-current valve driver. Enfield uni-drectional and bi-directional proportional valve drivers accomplish this by delivering a controlled current across solenoid and bi-directional voice-coils.
Available in both pulse width modulated (PWM) or linear driver models, users can choose between the benefits of power consumption and energy efficiency or reduced noise and current ripple. Enfield drivers act as power amplifiers, taking a low-power analog input signals from PLCs or microprocessors (such as +/-10V, 4…20mA or 0…10V) and outputting a high-power closed loop current across the coil.
Bi-directional proportional valve drivers are ideal for voice-coils which require both positive and negative current control, while uni-directional proportional valve drivers are ideal for solenoids which only require current in a single direction.
