High Bandwidth Pneumatic Pressure Control

Enfield’s high bandwidth pneumatic pressure control systems, sometimes referred to as an electronic pressure regulator or pneumatic pressure regulator, enables high speed high accuracy pressure control from vacuum to 150 psi. With valve response times of less than three milliseconds, near instantaneous pressurization and depressurization of a reservoir can be accomplished.

In this video, an example setup using an LS-V15s proportional pneumatic valve and a C1 closed loop controller to rapidly and accurately adjust pressure from 0 to 100 psi (0 to 7 bar). The analog command signal, generated by the ASG-1 potentiometer, is compared to the Barksdale pressure sensor located on the end of the chamber, while the LS-V15s is proportionally opened and closed by the C1 closed loop controller. This pressure regulating action can be observed through the Ashcroft gauge.
